Police appeal over sexual assault in York Road Acomb

Officers are investigating an incident on York Road in Acomb at 1am on November 8 involving a man and a woman.

According to North Yorkshire Police the pair had an argument in a vehicle and then in the street.

“The man is thought to have made himself obvious by his displayed behaviour, and it is believed that a resident on York Road was receiving a delivery at the time. It is hoped that the resident and the delivery driver may have witnessed the incident,” a spokesman said.

Police are appealing for the delivery driver and the customer to contact them, as well as anyone who has information, CCTV of dashcam footage that can help their inquiry.
