Police seize car in Over Hulton for having false plates
A member of the public had reported that the car had been abandoned in Over Hulton and officers began to investigated.
Yesterday (November 15) they discovered that the car was on false plates and seized the vehicle.
A picture posted to Greater Manchester Police’s (GMP) Facebook page shows two cars on the back of a truck being taken away.
The two cars appear to be SUVs, with one being a grey Kia and the other a black Range Rover.

A spokesperson for GMP said: “A member of the public reported this vehicle as abandoned in Over Hulton.
“After further inspection by PCSO Thornley and PCSO Spencer, the vehicle was discovered to be on false plates and subsequently seized.”
The penalties for having false number plates range from a fine of up to £1,000 for having obscured or incorrect plates to a potential prison sentence.
Drivers with false number plates could also face having penalty points put on their licence or even a driving ban.
