Ramsbottom bar up for sale as owners look to move abroad
The Pink Rhino cocktail bar is on the market for £15,000 as owners Dan Armstrong, 43 and Alan Lyons, 45, look to open a new bed and breakfast business in Spain.
They have been at the helm of the vibrant Market Street bar for around five years and decided to sell up so they can focus on making the move later this year.
Alan said: “We’re renovating a house, managing two businesses, and looking to buy a home in Spain.
“A lot is going on all at once, so we want to give someone else the opportunity to take it on.”
The pair also own hair salon Dolli Blu – named after their basset hound dog – down the road on Back Square Street, and it will be business as usual for both locations until solid plans are place.
Dan shared that they will still be running the salon in 2026 while ‘popping back and forth to Spain’ to work on the BnB.
Alan added: “It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while now. No offense to Ramsbottom, but it’s time for us to enjoy some sunshine!”
Sharing a joint statement on social media, they said: “Big news from The Pink Rhino.
“We’re taking the first step towards our long-time dream and making the move to Spain.
“We are not going just yet.
“With that, we’ve decided to sell Pink Rhino. We are still open for business as usual.
“From day one, your support has meant everything. You turned our little idea into a place full of laughter and great memories! We can’t thank you enough for being part of the journey.
“If you are interested in running your own business, this is a great setup [for] £15,000.
“This isn’t goodbye, just the next chapter. And who knows… you might be visiting us for sangria before long.
“Thank you for everything.”
