After spending so much money over Christmas, you might be reluctant to treat yourself to meal out throughout January. To get more diners through the doors, many restaurants and pubs have offers running to start the year off right.
January can be a difficult month to get through so it might be worth treating yourself and your family to a midweek meal at a restaurant in Cambridgeshire. From cosy pubs to popular chain restaurants, you should be able to find somewhere to suit your tastes.
If you are trying to save some money this month but also want to enjoy yourself, CambridgeshireLive has put together a list of some of the food spots doing deals this January. You can find out which pubs and restaurants are getting involved below.
1. Lot 25
Location: 25 High Street, Willingham, CB24 5ES
The café, restaurant, and bar will be offering guests the chance to enjoy a pie, pud, and pint for less this January. You can choose from the selection of classic pies that are served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, a dessert, and a pint for just £23.95.
If you just fancy the pie and a pint, that costs only £19.95. The deal will be running every Friday and Saturday in January from 6pm to 9pm.
2. The Boot
Location: 1 High St, Histon, Cambridge CB24 9LG
The Boot, a gastro pub in the village of Histon, is offering diners 50% off their main course when they choose any two courses off the à la carte menu or specials board. All you have to do is download the Treats by Heartwood Inns app to redeem the deal.
The deal will be running every Monday through to Friday and until 5pm on Saturdays. The deal will be ending on Saturday, February 7.
3. Chestnut Pubs
Location: Various around Cambridgeshire
All three Chestnut Pubs in Cambridgeshire will be offering a set menu for January. The Three Blackbirds in Woodditton, the Carpenters Arms in Great Wilbraham, and the Old Bridge in Huntingdon will all be serving the menu from Mondays through to Thursdays and on Fridays at lunchtime.
The menu features three options for every course. It costs £19.50 for two courses and £24.50 for three courses.
4. Browns
Location: 23 Trumpington St, Cambridge CB2 1QA
Browns Brasserie and Bar is offering a selection of its “British favourites” for just £15 from January 5 until January 30. The deal allows you to choose from Browns fish pie, butternut squash risotto, chicken schnitzel, blade of beef or the pulled lamb shepherd’s pie.
The deal is available from Mondays through to Fridays. All you have to do is sign up as a VIP by Browns member online to access the discount, which can be used as many times as you like throughout the month.
5. The Ivy
Location: 16 Trinity St, City Centre, Cambridge CB2 1TB
The Ivy has a two course set menu that will only cost you £19.17. Each course has a few options to choose from including salt and pepper calamari or duck liver parfait to start with and sweet potato and spinach curry as a main.
This deal runs for slightly longer from January 5 until February 28 but is not available on Valentine’s Day. If you sign up to The Ivy online, you can also get half price drinks until February 13.
