Sainsbury’s Nectar loyalty card programme now on Deliveroo

Nectar is one of the largest loyalty programs in the UK, with more than 24 million members, and is well known for providing customers with personalised discounts and deals.

You used to only be able to collect and spend points in-store or online at Sainsbury’s or one of its Nectar partners, including Argos, British Airways, or Esso.

However, this has now changed.

Sainsbury’s Nectar Card program now available on Deliveroo

Nectar is now available on Deliveroo, making it the first delivery platform to roll out the popular loyalty scheme.

Shoppers across the UK can now link their Nectar and Deliveroo accounts to help collect points when they place a Sainsbury’s order for eligible products through Deliveroo.

When placing an order via participating stores, customers will now be presented with the option to enter the card number registered to their Nectar account at checkout.

One Nectar point will be collected per £1 spent on eligible Sainsbury’s products purchased through Deliveroo.

This is the latest in a list of loyalty programmes to have recently joined the delivery platform.

Deliveroo said: “The integration of loyalty programmes onto Deliveroo means that customers can now earn points when they shop on-demand with selected partners, as they would in a physical store.

“With 97% of UK shoppers being members of at least one loyalty scheme, they are an increasingly integral part of consumer shopping habits, with shoppers continually looking to unlock more for their money when they shop.”
