Journalist Samara Gill has suggested the Royal Family may be concerned about a potential Sarah Ferguson interview, with the former Duchess of York reportedly being offered six-figure sums to speak
A journalist has speculated that if Sarah Ferguson decides to participate in a revealing interview, she may choose not to discuss certain members of the Royal Family, but could potentially speak about others.
Journalist Samara Gill proposed that the prospect of the former Duchess of York participating in an interview might instil fear within the Royal Family due to uncertainty over what she might disclose and about whom, reports the Mirror.
Sarah has retreated from public view following the removal of titles from her husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor amidst the escalating scandal surrounding his ties to the deceased convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Although Andrew denies the allegations, he has been stripped of his prince title and is relocating from Royal Lodge to the Sandringham Estate. Consequently, Sarah is at liberty to partake in an interview should she wish to do so.
Discussing the potential interview, Samara commented on The Sun’s Royal podcast: “I think it’s not right that she is going to speak out, but I think she will. Should she? I mean she needs the money, she needs the cash, it’s as simple as that.
“This is the scenario that I worried about the most for the Royal Family because both her and Andrew have absolutely nothing to lose at this point.
“Who knows whose dirty laundry they will then air out? I don’t know think it’ll be their own but think that because of the big amounts of money, you know I mean six figure sums that are being thrown around for this interview, who knows who she’ll talk about?
“Because she probably won’t brief about Andrew, she probably won’t even really talk about herself unless it’s about her struggle, she might talk about other Royal Family members and throw them under the bus and that’s what I’m worried about.”
Meanwhile, other Royal experts have commented on what Sarah’s state of mind could be at this point in time.
Speaking on Fox News, Royal expert Hilary Fordwich suggested that she might be willing to forge her own path away from Andrew.
They claimed: “Sarah has made it well-known among her staff and others that she no longer believes in Andrew and is prepared to go her own way after years of loyalty and public defence.”
Broadcaster Helena Chard added that she thought that Sarah could be worried about the impact of the scandals on Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.
She explained: “Her nerves are frayed. She is shaken to the core by the loss of her royal safety net. She fears further humiliation and worries that the serious allegations will affect her girls’ standing.”
