Love Island star Shaughna Phillips had a terrible night’s sleep after a spooky situation left her convinced her two-year-old daughter can ‘connect’ with ghosts

Love Island‘s Shaughna Phillips has shared an eerie ghost story on Instagram, with many commenting on a bizarre detail in her video – which they think is the spirit of her late dad. Mum-of-two Shaughna revealed to her followers some spooky goings-on with her two-year-old daughter Lucia.

Addressing her Instagram followers earlier this week, the 31-year-old started telling her followers what had happened the night before. She set the scene, revealing her eldest, Lucia, had mentioned a few things previously about her dad, Eddie, who died in 2016 after being diagnosed with cancer.

As she starts to tell the story, her phone keeps falling from the stand while she talks. She stops to correct it, telling her 1.3million followers: “We’ve got a picture of my dad on the stairs, and every now and then we walk past it, and she’ll be like ‘ah Grandad Eddie’s so funny’.

“And I’m like, ‘Ok, scary. Yeah, he was funny, but how the f*** do you know that?’” She went on to tell fans – all while being interrupted by the mysteriously moving camera – that she had put her Ring doorbell on charge.

She continued: “Later on in the evening, she came up to me when I was in the kitchen doing her dinner and was like ‘Mummy, there’s a man at the door’.”

Not concerned by her daughter’s comment, as she was expecting a food delivery, she went for a look and saw nobody there. She went on: “I was like, ‘there’s no one there, darling’. And she was like ‘There is, there is, there’s no doorbell.’”

Confused as to how her daughter would know that it was on charge, she asked: “How would she have known that?” After walking her tot to the door to prove there was nobody there, she opened the door in the “pitch black”, showing her daughter that there was nobody there. But then, Lucia’s chilling next move left her stunned.

Shaughna added: “She put her hand outside and went: ‘Haha, mummy, man touched me’. Someone call Psychic f***ing Sally. Have I got some paranormal activity going on?

“Is my child connecting? I know they say kids are more susceptible to things like that.” She added she’d had a “terrible night’s sleep” after the ghostly run-in.

Her followers were convinced they’d spotted orbs floating around in her video, as tiny white specs crossed the screen. One commented: “The amount of Orbs is crazy, I think you have a few spirits around you.”

Another said: “I mean there’s lots of Orbs floating around this video too.” A third suggested: “Maybe he’s hanging at the door as a protector while the doorbell is charging.”

Someone else added: “As soon as you mention your dad, the amount of orbs that appear is crazy!!! You’re definitely being protected.”

Another follower wrote: “The orbs along with the stand moving, are signs.” Many others commented with similar experiences with their own children and the other side.

Although most of Shaughna’s fans were convinced there was something supernatural afoot, others were slightly more cynical. One miserable sceptic wrote: “People talking about orbs, it’s f****** dust.” Another added: “Pure dust, she’s brushing her hair what do you think happens when you do that?”
