The animals have caused train services run by Greater Anglia to be disrupted.
Animals that have got onto a railway line in Cambridgeshire caused disruption to services. The 11:27 train from Norwich to Stansted Airport was delayed after the train hit a sheep at Shelford station.
The driver had to inspect the train for any damage before continuing the journey. The animals that have gotten onto the train tracks between Shelford and Whittlesford Parkway are causing other trains to be delayed in the area.
Trains running between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge North and between Norwich and Stansted Airport via Cambridge were disrupted on Tuesday afternoon (December 2). People who purchased an advanced ticket were allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their service is cancelled.
A spokesperson for Greater Anglia said: “Due to animals on the line between Shelford and Whittlesford Parkway all lines are disrupted. Train services running through these stations may be delayed. Disruption is expected until further notice.”
