‘Significant quantity’ of drugs found in Audi in Bolton
Police said in the early hours of this morning, December 20, that officers stopped the car on Lynton Road, which is off Lever Edge Lane and Morris Green Lane, as it was suspected to be involved in the supply of drugs.
The driver and passenger fled the car, an Audi A3, before officers searched it and found a “significant quantity” of drugs.
Police say they are conducting enquiries to find those involved.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton said: “PC Shezad has stopped a vehicle on Lynton Road off Lever Edge Lane that was suspected to be involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
“Following the stop, the vehicle was abandoned by the driver and passenger. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered a significant quantity of drugs, preventing them from entering the local community.
“Enquiries are on going to identify and locate those involved and vehicle has been forensically recovered.
“Greater Manchester Police remains committed to tackling drug-related criminality and safeguarding our neighbourhoods. We continue to act on intelligence and take proactive action to disrupt those involved in the supply of illegal substances.”
