Spotify Unwrapped's 'Listening Age' Feature Is Really Humbling Everyone

For Spotify users, Christmas has well and truly come early as the streaming service has unveiled its annual Unwrapped campaign.

Since Wednesday morning, listeners around the world have been exploring their listening habits for 2025, as Spotify presents them with their most listened-to artists, songs and albums of the last year (as well as any other interesting tidbits about the musicians they’ve been streaming).

This year, though, Spotify Unwrapped has a few new features – and one of them in particular has been quite humbling.

Based on people’s listening habits, the platform has been giving users their “listening age”, which has become one of Spotify Wrapped’s biggest talking points of 2025.

And let’s just say, not everyone is happy with what they’ve been told…

Who were the top artists on this year’s Spotify Unwrapped?

Spotify has also lifted the lid on which artists were most popular worldwide in 2025.

For the fourth time in his career, the singer and rapper Bad Bunny has been named the year’s most listened-to artist, ahead of his headlining performance at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Following the release of her latest album The Life Of A Showgirl, 2024 and 2023’s top Spotify artist Taylor Swift is now in second place, just ahead of The Weeknd, Drake and Billie Eilish in third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.
