Strictly Come Dancing star George Clarke make show history after his Blackpool performance on Saturday (November 22) night

Strictly Come Dancing’s George Clarke was left feeling emotional as he found out that he had made show history.

The YouTube and TikTok star and professional dance partner Alexis Warr took to the iconic Blackpool dance floor on Saturday (November 22) night’s Strictly.

The duo performed the Samba to O Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now) by Bob Sinclar. The live audience were loving the performance as Geroge and Alexis showed off their strong connection in the vibrant routine.

Craig Revel Horwood was the only judge not to give a ten, choosing to award their dance nine points as George and Alexis scored an incredible 39 out of 40 points.

During Sunday (November 23) night’s results show, Claudia Winkleman revealed that George was the first star in Strictly history to receive not only one but three 10s for a Samba.

Claudia announced: “George, I’ve got a fact for you. Nobody has ever got a 10 for a Salsa in Blackpool in Strictly history.”

The star was given a round of applause as Claudia continued: “You got three, you broke science. How do you feel?”

George looked speechless as he said: “I don’t know. I don’t feel like I deserve to be in a history book, that feels um wrong. I’m still trying to come to terms with the fact I got one ten never mind three. It’s mental.”

Claudia replied: “Well congratulations.”

The host then turned her attention to his professional dance partner Alexis as she asked: “Alexis how was your first Strictly Blackpool?”

Alexis admitted: “It’s been electric. Last time I was in Blackpool I was younger competing so it’s a full circle moment for real and it’s so special. I am just speechless, it’s insane.”

Elsewhere in Sunday’s show, former Strictly celebrities Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Layton Williams and Jay McGuiness put on a spectacular performance of their most famous numbers with the professional dancers.

As part of this year’s Blackpool special, all four dancers joined forces for a dazzling routine, which saw them all revisit one of their most famous Strictly moments, before coming together for a joyful celebration in the lavish surroundings of The Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Their new routine featured elements of Jay and Ashley’s iconic Jives, Danny’s famous Samba, and Layton’s showstopping Quickstep.

Jay was crowned Strictly champion in 2015, with Danny and Ashley reaching the finals of their Strictly series in 2016 and 2018 respectively, and Layton becoming a Strictly finalist most recently, in 2023.
