It comes after the former Love Island winner, who was due to take part in Strictly Come Dancing this year, announced her next TV gig

Dani Dyer has said she’s ‘sick to death’ of being targeted online as she revealed some of the trolling she received in response to her latest TV gig. The former Love Island winner was due to take part in Strictly Come Dancing this year, having been confirmed in the celebrity 2025 series line-up back in August.

It was then in September that she was seen making her debut during the BBC One dance contest’s pre-recorded launch show, where she was revealed to be partnered with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin. However, following the launch, Dani fractured her ankle while rehearsing the Quickstep, the routine she and Nikita were preparing to perform during week one of Strictly’s 23rd series.

It meant that she had to withdraw, which she said left her “heartbroken”. Dani ended up being replaced by fellow former Love Island winner Amber Davies, who is now currently preparing to compete in the Strictly semi-final this Saturday (December 13).

But Dani is set to return to screens soon as she’s among the line-up of contestants for a new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The 29-year-old will take part in the upcoming series of the Channel 4 reality show when it returns in January next year, in which contestants will undertake SAS training in north Africa.

Sharing the news on social media on Thursday (December 4) night, Dani said: “The news is out ahhh. This year I took part in Celebrity SAS and I can’t wait to share more with you all. So grateful to have been around an AMAZING group of people… [heart emojis].”

But her announcement wasn’t completely met with kindness. Underneath her Instagram post, “What is it with celebrity shows,” one troll wrote. “Look after your 3 kids instead of your mum having them all the time,” they added.

Resharing a screenshot of the comment to her Instagram Story, Dani was seen responding: “This was filmed, actually, when Jarrod [her husband] was off from football. God forbid a woman has a career!!”

She then added to her followers: “Sick to death of seeing comments about my parenting. Nobody would ever think twice about saying this to a man, but as soon as a woman wants to go away for work, it’s an issue? We’re in 2025, how is this still being said?”

Dani, who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, is married to West Ham footballer, Jarrod Bowen. The pair tied the knot earlier this year, after welcoming their twins, Summer and Star, in 2023. Dani is also a doting mum to her son, Santiago, who she welcomed with a former partner in 2021.

Speaking to HELLO! in 2024, Dani revealed how becoming a mother of twins changed her life. “I’ve always said it was as hard as I thought it was going to be,” she admitted. “People who I’ve met who have had twins have had twins first, so they never knew any different. Going from one to three was a massive, huge jump.”
