The suspected Brown University shooter has been found dead with ‘self-inflicted gunshot wounds’, according to reports.
It is believed the suspect of the Ivy League school shooting died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Associated Press.
Police arrested a suspected shooter after two people were killed and multiple others injured at an attack on Brown University in Rhode Island.
Investigators believe the man is responsible for both the shooting at Brown and the killing of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor who was fatally shot in his Brookline home Monday, the official said.
Authorities have not formally confirmed a connection between the two shootings.
The official and the person familiar with the matter could not publicly discuss details of the ongoing investigation and both spoke to AP on condition of anonymity.
Shots were fired at a classroom shortly after 4pm on Saturday, December 13, before the suspect fled the scene on foot, sparking a 10-hour long manhunt.
