The bus station and a nearby underpass are closed while police investigate.
A teenage boy has been stabbed in a Cambridgeshire city centre. Cambridgeshire Police were called to reports of violence near the Queensgate Bus Station in Peterborough just after 5.20pm today (Thursday, January 8).
The boy was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers have so far made no arrests, and an investigation is ongoing. The bus station and nearby underpass remain closed while officers investigate.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.23pm this evening with reports of violence near the bus station in Queensgate. A teenage boy has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital with stab wounds.
“His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made at this time, and an investigation is ongoing.
“The bus station and the nearby underpass have both been closed to allow officers to secure evidence. There will be an increased police presence in the area.”
Officers are appealing for information. Anyone with information should call 101, report it online or quote incident 363 of January 8.
