The latest episode of Tell Me Lies ended with a huge revelation, but Disney+ fans saw it coming

*Warning: This article contains spoilers for Tell Me Lies Season 3.*

The latest episode of Tell Me Lies may have just confirmed a huge fan theory about Bree and Wrigley. Fans of the Disney+ show devoured the first three instalments of season three last week, and they have already watched today’s drop. Just as in the last two seasons, this series follows the toxic relationship between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White), which begins during their university years at Baird College.

But it’s not just Lucy’s love life that takes the spotlight, as her friends Pippa (Sonia Mena) and Bree (Cat Missal) also have their share of rocky relationships. Following last week’s trio of episodes, viewers were left convinced that Bree and Pippa’s ex-boyfriend Wrigley (Spencer House) secretly had an affair, though they didn’t have much evidence for their claims.

The predictions came after Bree and Wrigley began taking the same photography class and sparked a platonic bond. But episode four has teased that there is more going on between the duo than just friendship. In the final minutes of the instalment, the show flashes forward to Bree and Evan’s (Branden Cook) wedding day in 2015.

After the couple’s first dance, Wrigley and Pippa join the newlyweds on the dancefloor. In an unexpected twist, Pippa asks her ex how he’s holding up, to which he responds: “Fine. Just pretending that you’re the one I’m still in love with.” Pippa then says, “Smart, no one will ever know.”

As the scene unfolds, Bree is shown looking longingly at Wrigley over her new husband’s shoulder. In the meantime, Stephen spies on Wrigley’s phone and finds that he repeatedly called Bree in the weeks leading up to the wedding. So it’s safe to assume there has been something romantic happening between the pair, but fans aren’t surprised.

Taking to TikTok, one user shared a clip of the final minutes of the episode and wrote: “The theories were CORRECT! I actually super ship Bree and Wrigley.” Others were quick to share their excitement, with one commenting: “I AM SICK AT HOW ACCURATE THE THEORY WAS.” Someone else said: “THE WAY I GASPED!!! I knewwwww it,” while another fan wrote online: “So Bree and Wrigley did have a thing!!!”

With episode five scheduled to release next Tuesday (January 27), viewers are already sharing new predictions about what happened between Bree and Wrigley — as well as why she still decided to marry Evan. Taking to Reddit, a fan suggested: “I think they had an affair while back in college after Bree and Evan got back together (Bree did it as tit for tat to get back at Evan, but Wrigley really loved her and she just used him).”

As you’ll remember, Evan cheated on Bree with Lucy during their college days. While it was just a drunken one-night stand, it ruined their otherwise perfect relationship and tainted Lucy and Bree’s friendship. Other eagle-eyed viewers have spotted an Easter egg from the series three premiere that teased Bree and Wrigley’s connection.

A Reddit user revealed: “In the first episode of season 1, Wrigley playfully picks up Bree and says, ‘I’m stealing your wife!’ and it literally looks playful and all in good fun, but he actually meant that s*** OMG.” It seemed like Wrigley was still struggling with the death of his brother Drew (Benjamin Wadsworth) at the beginning of this season, but his strange behaviour at Bree’s wedding appears to make more sense as the episodes unfold.

Now that Stephen has uncovered the ‘affair’, viewers will have to wait until next week to see what drama unfolds. As it stands, Pippa has found love with Diana (Alicia Crowder), while Stephen is with Lydia (Natalee Linez), and Lucy is in a relationship with Max (Edmund Donovan).
