Strictly Come Dancing fans bid farewell to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman this year after deciding to step down from their roles on the BBC show.
Emotions were at an all-time high on the weekend as Strictly Come Dancing fans saw Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman present their last show, which saw Karen Carney crowned this year’s winner.
Tess has fronted the beloved programme since it began in 2004, with Claudia joining her on the main show in 2014.
However, earlier this year, the pair released a statement on their exit, highlighting that it was the ‘right time’.
During their final show together, the pair were visibly emotional as Strictly provided them with plenty of surprises throughout. One sweet moment even saw judge Craig Revel Horwood reading a tribute from Queen Camilla.
Despite fans being heartbroken over their exit, with many speculating who will be replacing them, there’s good news for viewers as they’ll be back together on-screen once again very soon.
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special, which was pre-recorded, is set to air on Christmas Day and will see Tess and Claudia overseeing the winter wonderland spectacular.

In some first-look images on what viewers can expect to see, it seems as though Tess has decided to take to the dancefloor herself.
The 56-year-old is seen in a glitzy white suit performing the Argentine Tango with Aljaž Škorjanec. One image shows the former host being lifted up and smiling at the pro.
On the night, viewers will see celebrities Scarlett Moffatt, Melanie Blatt, Jodie Ounsley, Nicholas Bailey, Babatunde Aléshé, and Brian McFadden compete to win the festive special, following Drag star Tayce’s footsteps last year.
During the show, head judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke will all be on hand to offer their advice to the celebrities.
However, differing from the regular show, the winner will be decided by the studio audience who will vote for their champion.
Speaking about their decision to join, Brian McFadden told BBC Breakfast on Tuesday morning: “I’ll be honest with you, it was actually my daughter Ruby, she is completely obsessed with Strictly this year.
“So, every day she comes home from school, we’ve got to watch back what happened the week before. She was totally into it.
“Then, randomly, I got the phone call to see if I’d do the Christmas special, and I was like, ‘I have to do it, she’s going to love it’. So I did it! I’m absolutely delighted that I did it because it was an unbelievably great experience.”
Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special on iPlayer and BBC One from 5.30pm on Christmas Day.
