New research from LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor which involved a survey of 500 UK adults and analysis of Google search data has revealed the bedroom habits across the nation.

As the research found that three in ten Brits wouldn’t feel comfortable communicating their sexual preferences with a partner, LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor has partnered with Georgina Vass, Relationship and Sex Therapist, to normalise these conversations.

Vass says: “Healthy sexual relationships are built on open communication, mutual understanding, and a willingness to explore.

“From a clinical perspective, patients who feel able to discuss their sexual preferences and concerns – including difficulties like erectile dysfunction – often experience improved sexual satisfaction and psychological wellbeing. Encouraging safe exploration and honest conversations is a crucial part of supporting both individual and relational sexual health.”

The UK’s most searched for sex positions

Missionary is often considered to be “boring” but, honestly? It’s a classic for a reason. It encourages intimacy with your partner, leaves lots of room for roaming hands and, according to scientists, it’s the position most likely to make a woman orgasm in. All hail missionary position!

The research found that the most popular time to have sex among Brits is in the evening between 5 and 10pm. Only 6% of us are having sex every day, a quarter have sex once a week and one in ten have sex once a month.
