The best window vacuums for 2026 for tackling winter condensation

While most of us have a decent vacuum for cleaning our floors, our windows are often neglected. Yet, having one of the best window vacuums can make a big difference. These handy tools quickly remove dirt and moisture from windows, mirrors and bathrooms, which is especially useful if your home suffers from condensation.

Condensation forms when warm air hits a cold surface. It can happen all year-round, but is especially common in the colder months.

Window vacuums range in price from around the £30 mark to over £150, depending on the brand and features. I’ve tested top-rated models from Kärcher, Bosch, Tower, and more, to see which ones are worth the money.

You’ll find full reviews of each of the window vacuums below, as well as answers to some frequently asked questions, but first, here are my top five at a glance:

How to choose the best window vacuum

Most window vacuums sold in the UK are now cordless. Whether you need one solely for condensation or something more versatile for cleaning interior and exterior windows, shower screens or car glass, you should be able to use whichever model you choose with ease and flexibility.

“The first thing you should look at is battery life,” says Katie Lilywhite, vacuum cleaner expert at AO.com. “Look for a model with at least 20 to 30 minutes of running time. This is ideal for cleaning multiple windows, shower screens or even the odd mirror.”

“Don’t overlook a quick charging time,” Lilywhite adds. “This can make the difference if you’re pressed for time, so try to find a unit that fully charges in less than three hours.”

Next look at the power: “Strong suction helps to create that streak-free finish; ideally opt for one that has solid suction across the whole squeegee width.”

Some vacuums come with interchangeable nozzles or blades for different surfaces. Accessories like a spray bottle and a microfibre cloth are also handy for pre-cleaning. If you’re cleaning large areas, consider tank size, although a bigger tank may add weight.

There’s even a robot option for those who prefer a more hands-off approach.
