It is hard to beat sitting next to a warm open fire while enjoying a pint and possibly a hot meal to escape from the cold outdoors. Cambridgeshire has plenty of pubs to choose from with many being the ideal spot for a winter escape.

CambridgeshireLive asked its readers to share their favourite cosy pubs in the county and one pub in particular came out on top. If you are looking for a pub to warm up in, you might want to start with any of these three that come recommended our readers.

3. The Live and Let Live

Found hidden away off Mill Road, the Live and Let Live is described as a “lively pub with a rustic vibe”. The pub features a little log fire next to the bar, which only adds to the wintery feel of the place.

The Waggon and Horses is described as a “historic family-run pub” that has been “lovingly refurbished to blend traditional charm with contemporary dining”.
