It’s a great place to take the family on a day trip
A popular petting zoo in Cambridgeshire has been picked out as a great spot for a family weekend outing. South Angle Farm Park, near Soham, was taken over by David and Liona in 2012.
The family-run attraction is a base for rehomed and rescue animals. It started as an educational site for schools, which it still does during term-time, and now has a shop, café, craft barns, woodland walks, reptile experience and more.
South Angle Farm Park is open everyday except term-time Mondays (February to October). It’s home to a variety of adorable animals from goats to pigs, ducks and turkeys to geese, guinea pigs and chickens.
It’s so popular that lots of people have left positive reviews from their visits. Andrew Manchester wrote on Google Reviews: “We had such a great time visiting the farm with my two kids. The mini golf course was a big hit, fun, clean, and just the right level of challenge for all ages.
“The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. A perfect spot for a weekend outing with kids. We’ll definitely be back!”
Vittoria Iannelli-Allen added: “Great place, especially for little children, the animals are friendly and well kept and there are daily activities to participate in. The pizzas are surprisingly delicious too. Its a great family outing option.”
“Had a lovely time, perfect for the family,” Mark Davies wrote. “The little café has just what’s you need for a quick pit stop before continuing around the farm. The animals are looked after and fed well.
“We really enjoyed seeing the chickens and their enclosure which allows you to be in with them, being that extra close is perfect for the little ones.”
