The Times Alternative Honours list recognises Sara Cox

Posting on Instagram, The Times wrote: ” Across Britain, there are thousands of people who go the extra mile for others every single day — but few get recognition. Each year, The Sunday Times sets out to find those whose good deeds in the past 12 months have either gone unnoticed or deserve a bit more celebration.⁠

“Some have humbled us with their generous acts of charity and bravery, or their tenacious commitment to a cause. Others have simply made us laugh.⁠

“In its fifth year, here is our Alternative Honours list for 2025.⁠”

They include Sara Cox, and she has been honoured for her Children in Need feat, for which she raised millions to help youngsters across the country.

She is known for her TV and radio presenting

The Times wrote: “Swapping her DJ decks for a pair of trainers, Cox ran 135 miles for Children in Need last month, raising £11.5 million for charity.”

She appears alongside other celebrities but also everyday inspiring people, including Rabbi Daniel Walker, who did all he could to protect his congregation during the terror attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue.
