The traitors have chosen to murder another faithful on the BBC series
The Traitors fans are claiming that they’ve ‘worked out’ what happens next as they called out a ‘fatal error’ on the BBC series.
Wednesday night’s (January 14) edition of the Claudia Winkleman programme featured one of the biggest twists at the roundtable to date. Faithful Harriet asked for the contestants to vote her off to prove her suspicions about traitor Rachel were correct.
The crime novelist spent the evening going after Rachel, calling her out directly at the confessional booth. Harriet and Matt won the opportunity to have a conversation with the traitors in a church, where their identities were hidden.
Vowing that she was going to expose Rachel, Harriet shared her theory as well as her real profession at the breakfast table. However, Harriet’s fellow faithfuls didn’t believe her and continued to put their faith in Rachel.
Harriet said after being banished :“It’s a kamikaze move, I appreciate that. I wanted to ensure that you all knew who I really was. It seems to me this is the only way I can get rid of any doubt of what I said.
“I’ve given you the names, do not let this sacrifice be in vain. I am and have always been a faithful.”
Following the roundtable, the faithful remained hesitant to suspect Rachel of being a traitor. Instead, they said they were going to focus on Roxy and Matt moving forward as the prime candidates for being responsible for the murders.
The episode concluded in the turret, with Rachel and Stephen having to decide whether to recruit or murder a contestant. While they chose to commit murder, it wasn’t revealed what they were going to kill by the time the credits began to roll.
What makes things trickier for the paid is that seven of the faithfuls secured shields during a challenge earlier in the night. At the end of the episode, the traitors narrowed their choices to Adam, Jessie and James, with the latter two both having shields.
Those watching the episode at home took to X, previously known as Twitter, to question why Rachel and Stephen decided to go down the murder path rather than recruit a player.

Unless they can spin it as a double bluff from inside Jessie’s team? #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUK.” @charlotteroszko added: “Definitely think they should have recruited Matty, feels too risky to murder with so many shields and no idea who has them #TheTraitors.”
@danattack515 wrote: “Gambling on a murder is one of the most stupid things I’ve ever seen. Just recruit and play it off as a shielded murder #TheTraitors.” @Murphymoo28 posted: “But if they murder someone from the other group, doesn’t it show there was a traitor in each of the other 2 groups as they left them alone? #TheTraitors.”
@inebriato commented: “Should have recruited Matt. Even if he rejected the offer because of this new heat that’s been put on him, it would still look suspicious to everyone. Murder is a massive risk. #TheTraitors.” @adam_oop stated: “Is the optimal play to purposefully try and murder someone who you know has a shield to confuse everyone? #TheTraitors.”
