The Traitors finale airs on Friday night, with the series winner announced after weeks of secrecy and betrayal

The BBC has revealed its Friday night line-up following tonight’s gripping finale of The Traitors. Host Claudia Winkleman will crown this year’s victor, who stands to pocket a substantial cash prize.

During Wednesday’s tense instalment, both Rachel and Stephen found themselves under increasing scrutiny after surviving another round of eliminations.

The duo have struck a deal to shield one another until the final showdown, but the episode concluded with Rachel hinting to Stephen that she may need to “protect their alliance” by potentially naming him.

Stephen confided: “This is getting pretty stressful now. Faraaz dropped a bit of a bombshell that the Traitor might be Rachel,”.

He continued: “I think Rachel has an uphill battle to make it to that endgame. I just have this horrible feeling in my stomach. I’m just hoping she can do it,” reports Wales Online.

Tonight’s finale kicks off at 8.30pm on BBC One, with The Traitors: Uncloaked following at 9.45pm. From Friday, January 30, the slot will welcome Rob Brydon’s Would I Lie To You at 8.30pm.

The evening will then continue with the return of Death in Paradise at 9pm, introducing fresh faces to the detective team.

The much-loved BBC drama, concluding at 10pm, promises intrigue as: “The commissioner’s return to the department is disrupted by a suspicious incident at Government House, in which a man has fallen from the roof to his death.

“It looks like a suicide, but DI Mervin Wilson suspects foul play. No one was on the roof with the victim when he fell, and he’d locked the roof door behind him.

“Away from the investigation, Mervin is anxious to finally meet his half-brother Solomon, the other son of the mother he never knew.”

Don Gilet is set to return, reprising his role as Detective Mervin Wilson, alongside Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas.

Don Warrington will also be making a comeback as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, with Elizabeth Bourgine returning as Catherine Bordey, whilst Shaquille Ali-Yebuah will once again take on the role of Officer Sebastian Rose.
