Three people were taken to hospital after the crash
Three people were injured in a crash that closed a road in Cambridge on Monday (December 22). Emergency services were called to Cherry Hinton Road at about 3.30pm with reports of a crash.
Three people were taken to hospital after the crash. The road was closed for about four hours while emergency services responded.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at about 3.30pm yesterday (22 December) with reports of a collision on Cherry Hinton Road involving two vehicles. Officers, fire and medics attended.
“One person was taken to The Royal Papworth Hospital following a medical episode and two others were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with minor injuries. The road was re-opened at about 7.30pm.”
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 3.25pm to a road traffic collision on the Cherry Hinton Road in Cambridge. Three ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle, a rapid response vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
”One patient was transported to The Royal Papworth Hospital, while two other patients were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.”
