However, thanks to an experienced TK Maxx enthusiast who knows the ins and outs of discount shopping, there’s now a method to tackle the mayhem. Jordan Cox, recognised on social media as the Coupon Kid, has disclosed his knowledge of TK Maxx’s pricing structure.
By carefully examining the product tags, he’s identified a small series of numbers that can reveal the actual worth of an item.
Jordan’s guidance has become viral, attracting more than 68,000 likes and numerous comments from enthusiastic shoppers keen to use his recommendations. He clarifies the importance of three digits: “Look out for these codes at TK Maxx. When shopping there, always check the labels for a number ‘1’, ‘2’ or ‘7’.”
He cautions that a ‘1’ might indicate the product was manufactured exclusively for TK Maxx and may not match the quality the brand implies, reports Plymouth Live.
Nevertheless, the number ‘2’ is the one to seek out. “A number 2 is what you’re looking for! These items are made by the brand, and were sold by the brand (but are just cheaper being sold at TK Maxx). This is what you’re looking for,” he recommends, as reported by the Mirror.
The post continued: “There’s also a number 7, which means it’s last year’s stock (but still a branded item and genuine). Please do have a check before you buy something. It may seem like a bargain looking at the price, but it may wear out sooner than you think if it’s not the real deal.”
