Trump declares Biden’s turkey pardons ‘totally INVALID’ over autopen scandal
DONALD Trump has declared Joe Biden’s previous Thanksgiving turkey pardons as “invalid” after his predecessor’s autopen scandal.
But he joked that he has now saved the two birds from being butchered.
First lady Melania Trump and the U.S. President arrived today for the 78th annual National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation.
It took place in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, DC.
Trump drew laughs when he referred to Biden’s auto-pen scandal.
“Sleepy Joe Biden used an autopen last year for the Turkey Pardon so I have determined that last year’s Turkey Pardons are totally invalid,” he joked.
“We have located last year’s turkeys, Peach and Blossom.
“And they were on their way to be processed.
“But I have stopped that journey and I am officially pardoning them and they will not be served for Thanksgiving dinner.”
