TV-famous Beacon Farm in Yorkshire opens holiday let
Beacon Farm, home to Beacon Alpacas, has featured in numerous hit shows including The Yorkshire Vet, Escape to the Country, Celebs on the Farm, Four in a Bed, At Home with the Greens, Loose Women and ITV Calendar.
Located in the Hambleton Hills at Suncliffe Beacon Farm, Malton Street, Husthwaite, near Easingwold, the property is now offering visitors the chance to experience life on the much-loved alpaca farm for themselves.
Owner Jacki Barlow, who founded Beacon Alpacas in 2009, has converted her former home into a holiday let sleeping up to six people.
The cabin features two en-suite bedrooms, a sofa bed, and welcomes two medium-sized, well-behaved dogs for an additional charge.
Prices start from as little as £17.86 per person, per night, based on six people sharing for a week.
“It’s always fun when the cameras turn up, alpacas are such popular and photogenic animals,” said Jacki.
“Their curious nature means they love nothing more than posing for the best shot. It’s such a stunning and peaceful location that I wanted to share it with other alpaca lovers for a relaxing treat.”
Guests can enjoy sweeping views across the countryside, relax under the stars, Beacon Farm lies within a Dark Sky Area, or even get hands-on helping to care for the animals.
“Don’t just look at our alpacas, help us look after them,” Jacki added.
Since starting with just a handful of animals and a big dream, Jacki has built a thriving herd of 46 award-winning huacaya alpacas, alongside ponies, chickens, and her loyal dogs Isla and Mabel.
Over the years, the farm’s television appearances, particularly on The Yorkshire Vet, have attracted visitors from across the globe, all eager to meet the alpacas in person.
