Two men have been arrested in a Cambridgeshire city after being stopped by the police. Cambridgeshire Police stopped an Audi yesterday (Tuesday, December 30) at around 11.05pm on Lincoln Road in Peterborough.
Police stopped the vehicle as it was being driven on what was suspected as cloned number plates. Two men aged 24 and 28, both from Peterborough, were arrested at the scene.
The two men are currently in custody at Thorpe Wood. They are being held on suspicion of driving offences, drug offences, and an aggravated burglary.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “Police stopped an Audi last night after it was spotted in Peterborough being driven on what was suspected as cloned number plates.
“Police stopped the vehicle at 11.05pm in Lincoln Road and two men aged 24 and 28, both from Peterborough, were arrested at the scene. They are currently in custody at Thorpe Wood on suspicion of driving offences, drugs offences and an aggravated burglary.”
