Two arrested after ‘machete robbery’ of van in Hardwick

Armed police were called to Piper Knowle Road in Hardwick, Stockton shortly after 8.30am on Saturday (January 17).

Cleveland Police said it is believed three men armed with machetes had taken the vehicle.

A 26-year-old man from Middlesbrough and a 25-year-old woman from Durham have since been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody for questioning.
