Two in hospital after A167 Chester-le-Street crash

Emergency crews were called to the A-road near Chester-le-Street shortly after 6.45pm on Sunday (November 23).

Paramedics attended and two people were taken to the University Hospital North Durham. The extent of their injuries is not known.

Durham Police has been contacted for comment.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic incident on the A167 near Chester-Le-Street tonight (November 23) at 6.50pm.

“We dispatched one ambulance crew, and two patients were taken to University Hospital of North Durham.”
