Two men arrested after ‘unexplained death’ at flat in Aberdeen

Police remain in the area today carrying out their investigations.

Two men have been arrested after the unexplained death of a man at a flat in Aberdeen.

Cops scrambled to the property on Marquis Road in the Woodside area of the city at around 4.25pm on Saturday November 22 following reports of the death of a 44-year-old man.

Officers said the man’s family has been made aware of the death and confirmed it is being treated as unexplained.

Police Scotland has launched a probe into the incident and are in the area carrying out enquiries today. Anyone with infromation is urged to appraoch them.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with assault, and a 27 year-old was arrested in connection with the death. Both have been released while police continue their investigation.

A spokesperson for the force said on Tuesday: “Around 4.25pm on Saturday November 22, we were called to a report of the death of a 44-year-old man at a property on Marquis Road, Aberdeen. His family is aware.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

“A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with assault and a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death. They have both been released pending further investigation.

“Officers remain in the area carrying out inquiries and anyone with any information or concerns can approach them.”
