Strictly favourite Dianne Buswell and her boyfriend Joe Sugg are expecting their first child together.

Vito Coppola has posted a heartfelt message to his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Dianne Buswell, after she disclosed that he was amongst the first to learn of her pregnancy.

The Australian professional dancer is expecting her first baby with partner Joe Sugg, seven years after the pair first crossed paths on the BBC One dance competition.

Dianne learnt she was pregnant whilst touring with Vito in their joint production, Red Hot and Ready, during the summer months.

In a recent YouTube Q&A, the expectant mother explained that she confided in her fellow performer before informing her own family, as early pregnancy symptoms began affecting her during the tour, leaving Vito concerned about her wellbeing, reports the Manchester Evening News.

She continued by explaining that he was absolutely delighted for her, supporting her throughout the tour and maintaining that support when they both returned for Strictly’s 2025 series, which concluded on Saturday evening (December 20).

After the latest run of the beloved programme wrapped up, Vito posted a heartfelt message on Instagram dedicated to Dianne, accompanied by a photograph of them dancing together during Strictly’s Blackpool special, when Lewis Capaldi appeared as one of the musical performers.

“I would like to tell my Gorji @diannebuswell that what you did this year was a true reflection of who you are, an amazing woman who did not hold back once and that in every circumstances has always kept giving the 110%!!!” the Italian dancer opened his touching tribute to Dianne, who was paired with Stefan Dennis on the show.

“You are the example of person to follow and that’s why we all love you so much, because you are an inspiration and a super woman! You have the power of a lion and the heart of a lamb and that’s why you are unique! I am beyond proud and very grateful to have found a friend, a sister and family in you.

“You did every single rehearsals, every single day and danced full on since our tour until now, from June to December, smashing every single time not just on the dance floor but in life. You proved that women are the most amazing creatures on earth and that there is nothing stronger than a power of a mum (technically baby mum)… You did lifts, rolls, jumps and every style of dance without hiding but showing that you can do everything!!!”

He went on to say: “You and @joe_sugg are going to be the best parents, and you my gorji the most fantastic super mum! ! ! It was special and magical every single dance, rehearsal and moment and thank you for sharing and for the trust you gave me. Have a beautiful Xmas and Happy new year.”

Vito concluded his post by saying: “Love and hugs to all your family and I am looking forward to meet your little boy. He is going to have the craziest Italian uncle… zio Vito.”

Dianne quickly responded to the post, commenting: “You are such a good friend our little boy is so excited to have an uncle Vito like you.”

She then added: “And thank you for looking after us both whenever we danced,” while Vito affirmed: “I mean every single word!”

Dianne and Joe, who reached the final in 2018 before being pipped by Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, announced their joyful news through a charming video on social media. The clip showed the expectant parents standing beside a wooden easel, armed with paint and brushes, creating their announcement.

Set to Elton John’s beloved song Tiny Dancer, the video captured the couple painting before turning their canvas to display three stick figures – representing Dianne, Joe, and a baby between them. Their caption read: “Our little baby boy [heart emoji]. We cannot wait to meet you.”
