Warning after nail found in Range Rover tyre for third time

The force has issued a warning on Facebook after a nail was found in the tyre of a Range Rover in Castlegate, Pickering, earlier this week.

The incident, which happened on November 19, is the third time in 11 months involving the same car, with all damages believed to have been inflicted deliberately.

“All three were repaired by a local garage over the past 11 months and deemed by the garage staff to all be deliberate criminal damage due to the location and depth of the nails,” said a spokesperson for the police.

They added that the public should be aware of these incidents and keep an eye out for vehicles being targeted.
