Stranger Things season five is coming to Netflix later this month. Find out when and how to watch for free
Stranger Things is back. The fifth and final series of the hugely popular Netflix hit streams from November 27 and the upcoming episodes will see Eleven and her crew gear up for a climactic final showdown with Vecna, whilst finally providing answers to the lingering mysteries surrounding the Upside Down.
This signifies the culmination of nearly a decade on our screens and arrives over three years following the previous series. All the key characters are making a comeback, including Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Winona Ryder and David Harbour.
Usually Netflix starts at £5.99 a month for subscribers, but there’s a way to get the streamer for free. Read on for more detail on that and Stranger Things series five.
How to stream Stranger Things season 5 for free
Stranger Things season five can be streamed exclusively on Netflix, which typically charges £5.99 per month for its basic plan. However, Sky is currently offering a free Netflix subscription as part of its Black Friday TV deals, including the £15 Essential TV bundle.
This equates to 50p per day and also includes over 100 channels and complimentary Discovery+, all for an additional £9.01 compared to subscribing directly to Netflix. Other bargains in Sky’s Black Friday sale include the Ultimate TV, Netflix and 500Mbps Full Fibre Broadband bundle for £39 (down from £44).
Meanwhile, Virgin Media is also offering free Netflix subscriptions with its own TV and broadband deals, which are free for the first three months. This includes the £29.99 Gig1 Fibre Broadband option – delivering speeds of 1,130Mbps – and the £36.99 Entertainment bundle.
Bear in mind that both Sky and Virgin increase their prices each April, so customers can expect their bills to rise at least twice during the 24-month term.
When to watch Stranger Things
The fifth season of Stranger Things is made up of eight episodes, set to be released in three volumes. The first volume, consisting of episodes one to four, is available now.

Who’s joined the show for series 5 and what is it about?
There are also some fresh faces entering the mix, such as The Terminator’s Linda Hamilton portraying Dr. Kay, a government agent on the trail of Eleven and the latest villain of the show. The narrative unfolds in the autumn of 1987, as the anniversary of Will’s disappearance draws near.
Following the opening of the Rifts, Hawkins has been placed under military quarantine, with the government ramping up its pursuit of Eleven and forcing her back into hiding. United in their mission to locate and eliminate Vecna, the group finds that he has disappeared, while a more potent and lethal darkness than anything they’ve previously encountered is emerging.
