The grand finale of Series 4 will be on TV at a much later time than usual
The latest series of BBC’s The Traitors has kept fans gripped, with the introduction of the brand new Secret Traitor twist this year bringing utter chaos to the castle.
So far viewers have watched two Traitors fall, with Hugo making history as the earliest ousted Traitor in a UK series. He was followed by Secret Traitor Fiona, who started a spectacular spat with Rachel by accusing her of being a Traitor in full view of the other players, sparking concerns from viewers that she had broken the Traitor oath.
The bold move ultimately backfired, drawing too much suspicion from the Faithfuls who voted to banish Fiona from the game for good leaving just two Traitors standing, Rachel and Stephen. The pair are now coming under increasing suspicion as the game nears its close.
This week, viewers saw crime writer and former barrister Harriet sacrifice her own place in the game in another show first in order to get others to pursue her top suspect, Rachel. Meanwhile Jessie has started to air her suspicions about Stephen, meaning both Traitors are at risk after going undetected so far.
With the Traitors deciding against recruiting Matthew, it is looking increasingly unlikely Stephen and Rachel will win together with nobody to throw to the Faithfuls.
Sadly for fans there is not long to go until Series 4 wraps up, bringing with it the reveal of whether team Faithful or team Traitor goes on to win the cash prize, and an answer as to whether an enduring fan theory that everyone in the castle is connected in some way is correct. So when can viewers find out?
The Traitors finale release day and time
The grand final of The Traitors Series 4 will air on BBC One and iPlayer on Friday, January 23. The episode will start at the later time of 8.30pm and run until 9.45pm. Episodes have usually been showing at 8pm, so don’t get caught out by the time change.
Straight afterwards, viewers will be able to watch a special edition of The Traitors: Uncloaked which brings back all of the cast and host Claudia Winkleman. The spin-off show airs at 9.45pm and finishes at 10.30pm.
