In 2025, Netflix gave audiences some of the year’s most iconic TV moments, including new shows like Adolescence and returning favourites including Wednesday, Squid Game, Selling Sunset and, of course, Stranger Things.

Looking ahead to the next 12 months, the streamer has even more planned to make us laugh, cry and swoon, with some of our favourite shows returning, as well as final farewells to old friends and, of course, new TV obsessions.

Here are 19 of the Netflix series we’re most looking forward to in 2026…

Queer Eye

The Fab Five is in Washington D.C. for Queer Eye’s 10th and final season.

Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness and newer addition Jeremiah Brent are all back to help people transform their lives through style, grooming, interior design, culture and cooking tips.

Jonathan recently admitted that filming the show in Washington D.C, in the current political climate was especially “surreal.”

“It was really such a great experience,” they said on their podcast. “Wrapping everything up in Washington D.C. was, visually, very pretty. It’s a really pretty city, but also very surreal.

“We started filming [Queer Eye during] Trump‘s first administration in Atlanta in 2017 … It was interesting to be back there in this atmosphere.”

The 10th and final season of Queer Eye arrives on Netflix on Wednesday 21 January.

Bridgerton

The latest iteration of the spicy Regency drama Bridgerton kicks off in just a few weeks, following a new romance between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek (played by Luke Thompson and newcomer Yerin Ha, respectively).

After meeting at Lady Bridgerton’s famed masquerade ball, Benedict embarks on a quest to track down a mysterious woman he meets at the event, who it transpires is not a member of society, but a maid to the formidable Lady Araminta Gun.

The fourth series also introduces Araminta’s daughters, Rosamund Li and Posy Li. Look out for familiar faces, too, including Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan and Simone Ashley.

The first half of Bridgerton’s fourth season premieres on 29 January, followed by the second part on 26 February.

The Lincoln Lawyer

After that shocking season three finale, The Lincoln Lawyer returns, with Manuel Garcia-Ruffo back in action as Mickey Haller, LA’s most dedicated defence attorney.

Inspired by Michael Connelly’s bestselling novel The Law Of Innocence, showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez recently teased to Tudum: “Following the incredibly suspenseful and emotional climax of season three, the stakes have never been higher, because this time Mickey is the client.

“With his very life and reputation on the line, he’ll need the strength and support of his entire team, and his entire family, to fight for his future,” they revealed.

How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders, The Morning Show’s Sasha Alexander and Entourage’s Constance Zimmer are set to join the ensemble alongside the existing cast, which includes Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Neve Campbell.

Although details are still under wraps, we can no doubt expect new assignments, new locations and, of course, new villains.

“We’re so excited to bring new thrills, new worlds, new stunts, new characters, and new adventures to our fans in season three,” showrunner Shawn Ryan told Tudum.

“Thanks so much for devouring season two, and we look forward to bringing you a bigger and even better season three.”

The Witcher

The Witcher’s fifth and final outing will premiere this year, with Liam Hemsworth back in the title role, after taking over from Henry Cavill in season four.

He is returning alongside Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan, who are reprising their roles as Yennefer and Ciri.

“The time of the end is nigh: dark forces are aligning all across the Continent with villainous designs on Ciri. Even if Geralt and Yennefer can save their daughter and fulfill their last wish of reuniting as a family, they’ll have to face obstacles — and enemies — the likes of which they’ve never faced before,” reads the official synopsis released by Netflix in its official look ahead to 2026.

Aside from this synopsis, little is known about series five, other than the fact it was filmed back-to-back with the previous run. However, fans suspect that this upcoming series will adapt the rest of The Tower Of Swallows, which sees Ciri fighting for survival.

A release date for The Witcher’s fifth and final run is yet to be confirmed.

In an official Tudum synopsis, Netflix teased: “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line – a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn.

“As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”

The second season of the anthology series Beef premieres in April, with a brand new cast and a completely different central vendetta.

While the first series revolved around a road rage incident between two strangers (played by Ali Wong and Steven Yeun) that escalated into a huge, violent feud, this sophomore series sees a young couple working at a country club, played by Riverdale’s Charles Melton and Alien Romulus’ Cailee Spaeny, witness a fight between their boss and his wife (portrayed by Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan).

According to Tudum, the upcoming series will feature “chess moves of favours and coersion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner”.

Rounding out the star-studded cast are Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung, Talamasca’s William Fichtner and Parasite’s Song Kang-ho.

Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry

From prolific creator Adi Shankar, Devil May Cry became an instant favourite when the first season was released in April 2025. Luckily, fans won’t have to wait long for the follow-up, which is coming just over a year later.

Based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name, Devil May Cry follows the demon hunter-for-hire Dante as he attempts to foil a demonic invasion of Earth headed by a sinister terrorist called the White Rabbit.

Netflix has teased that the second series will see the war between worlds ignite as Dante must battle his own estranged twin, Vergil.

The creators have also promised that the new series will be “different stylistically and tonally” from its predecessor.

Sweet Magnolias

The fifth instalment in the Sweet Magnolias series, which follows three best friends from South Carolina as they navigate the ups and downs of life, arrives this summer.

In the new batch of episodes, central trio Madie, Dana Sue and Helen head to New York, after Maddie is offered a publishing job at the end of season four.

“Not only is this adventure huge fun, it’s also an opportunity to explore the facets of their relationships in a new context. While it’s crucial to have true friends in day-to-day life, it’s priceless to have them supporting you when you leap out of your comfort zone,” showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson recently explained.

Joining the trio in their latest adventure is The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who will play Nell Winters, a prominent writer whom Maddie befriends in New York.

Season five of Sweet Magnolias arrives on Netflix on 11 June.

Lupin

Omar Sy reprises his iconic role as Assane Diop, the gentleman thief, in season four of Lupin. Part three saw Assane sacrifice himself for his family, but we don’t expect the character to stay behind bars for too long.

Inspired by the fictional master of disguise Arsène Lupin, fans have been waiting for new episodes of the hit French show since October 2023.

“Together with Netflix, Carrousel, and Gaumont, we’ve invested the time needed to raise our ambitions and deliver even more surprises and enjoyment, both for us and the audience,” said Omar to Tudum.

Alongside Omar Sy, season four will see Ludivine Sagnier return as Claire, alongside Antoine Gouy as Benjamin Ferel, Soufiane Guerrab as detective Youssef Guedira and Shirine Boutella as lieutenant detective Sofia Belkacem, while Théo Christine and Laïka Blanc-Francard are also set to join the cast.

An exact release date for Lupin’s fourth season is yet to be confirmed, other than the fact it will arrive in the autumn.

Avatar: The Last Air Bender

The live-action version of the iconic anime series will debut its second season later this year.

The show is set in a world where civilisation is split into four nations based on the four classical elements (water, fire, earth and air), and in each nation, there are people who can telekinetically manipulate the elements, known as “benders”.

“We’re looking forward to working with all of our actors again and digging into the deeper, more complicated relationships that develop as their journey continues in Season 2,” executive producers Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani told Tudum last year

They added: “We are going to show the real-world versions of iconic scenes from the original, and explore some of the stories that the animation didn’t. Mainly, we’re looking forward to seeing our gang all together again.”

An exact return date for Avatar: The Last Air Bender is yet to be confirmed.

Outer Banks

Outer Banks’ fifth series will also be its final outing, with creators Shannon Burke, Jonas Pate, and Josh Pate saying in an Instagram post that they’d always had a five-season plan for the show.

The teen action-adventure drama stars Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Davis and Carlacia Grant as teenagers on the hunt for treasure in a small North Carolina community.

Season four ended with a shocking death, with the group set to avenge their friend as the action resumes.

Season five will also likely follow John B and Sarah as they become new parents, while the creators have added that the Blue Crown treasure hunt storyline “should carry us through all the way” to the finale.

Outer Banks’ fifth and final season will arrive later this year, though a specific release date has not been announced.

Perfect Match

Nick Lachey is back at the helm of Perfect Match, the popular Netflix dating show which invites contestants from various other reality TV franchises to take on challenges – and try to find love.

As always, expect to see cast members from Love Is Blind, Temptation Island, Married At First Sight and even Vanderpump Rules on a quest to find romance – or just causing chaos amongst the cast.

Clearly, Perfect Match has the potential to lead to love, though, as last season saw Love Is Blind stars Ollie Sutherland and AD Smith not only find romance on TV but getting engaged, and later announcing they’re expecting their first child together.

Perfect Match’s fourth season will premiere on Netflix later in 2026.

Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story

The fourth instalment in Ryan Murphy’s anthology series focuses on Lizzie Borden, with Ella Beatty taking on the role of the infamous young woman from Massachusetts, who was accused of the 1892 brutal axe murder of her parents.

Her case is considered one of the earliest examples of “trial by media” in American history, not to mention one of the most iconic true crime stories.

After his performance in the controversial Ed Gein-centric third season, Charlie Hunnam is returning to Monster as Lizzie Borden’s father, and will be joined in the horror drama by Rebecca Hall, Vicky Krieps and Billie Lourd, with Murphy-verse regular Sarah Paulson also making a cameo appearance.

A release date for The Lizzie Borden Story has not been announced, though it’s worth noting that the first three seasons of Monster have premiered in late September and early October.

Zoe Kazan is writing and producing the Netflix miniseries East Of Eden, based on John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel of the same name. The story was made famous in 1955 thanks to the James Dean film adaptation, which was directed by Zoe’s grandfather, Eli Kazan.

The story follows three generations of two intertwined families, the Trasks and the Hamiltons, living in the Salinas Valley of California. One of the families is based on Steinbeck’s own, while the others are a fictional allegories for the Bible stories of Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel.

This seven-part series is said to be told from Cathy’s, point of view and will predominantly focus on the Trask family.

Florence Pugh will play Cathy, while Christopher Abbott will star as Adam Trask. Mike Faist, Ciaran Hinds and Tracy Letts are also set to co-star.

East Of Eden will arrive on Netflix later this year.

Stranger Things: Tales From 85

While rumours of a bonus episode of Stranger Things turned out not to be true, an animated spin-off is coming to Netflix later in 2026.

The show is set between seasons two and three of Stranger Things and will feature the main characters from the original show. In the style of 1980s and 1990s kids’ cartoons, the series will follow the gang on side missions against new monsters and mysteries.

Executive producer Shawn Levy has teased that this spin-off will have a different tone and visual style compared to the show we already know and love.

“It’s filling in blanks of mythology and timeline that you’ve never gotten in what we call ‘the mothership,’ the original show,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Stranger Things: Tales From 85 does not have an official release date, but will premiere on Netflix later in 2026.

Pride & Prejudice

Pride & Prejudice has, of course, already been adapted for the big and small screen many times over the years, but that doesn’t mean we’re any less excited for this new Netflix version.

Dolly Alderton is on writing duties while it was directed by Heartstopper’s Euros Lyn, with Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden taking on the lead roles of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy.

Joining them in the supporting cast are some impressive names including Rufus Sewell, Jamie Demetriou, Daryl McCormack, Rhea Norwood, Louis Partridge and Oscar winner Olivia Colman.

“Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is the blueprint for romantic comedy – it has been a joy to delve back into its pages to find both familiar and fresh ways of bringing this beloved book to life,” Dolly Alderton teased last year.

Jane Austen fans can watch this new spin on Pride & Prejudice later in 2026.

Heartstopper Forever

The much-loved teen drama Heartstopper is coming to an end in 2026 with one last feature-length episode.

Kit Connor and Joe Locke will be reprising their roles as Nick and Charlie for one last time in the movie, which picks up shortly after the events of the season three finale, in which the couple and many of their friends have all taken their relationships in new directions.

“The movie will be an exploration of time, memory, love, pain, the changing of the seasons, endings and beginnings, and the core element of Heartstopper: the ordinary magic of our everyday lives,” Alice Oseman told Tudum.

There’s no official release date for Heartstopper Forever, with the first three seasons all dropping on Netflix at different times in the year.
