The singer has also revealed how the NFL star became part of her tour
Fans have been given a closer look at Taylor Swift’s phenomenal Eras Tour thanks to a new documentary streaming now.
Four episodes of the six-part series are available exclusively on Disney Plus following last week’s premiere. It has been such a hit that it was recently announced the finale will be released early on December 23.
The End of an Era chronicles the creation, influence, and behind-the-scenes workings of the mega-popular artist’s The Eras Tour. It offers an intimate glimpse into Taylor’s world as her tour dominated headlines and delighted supporters globally.
Not only that but on the odd occasion, Swifties are given a look at the star’s intimate moments and personal life. That includes her current relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce.
When did Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift start dating?
In episode four, Taylor’s mother takes enjoyment in retelling the story of how the pair met. The athlete actually attended an Eras Tour concert in Kansas City himself in the summer of 2023.
Afterwards, on his podcast, New Heights, Kelce, 35, told his brother about the experience. He admitted that he made a friendship bracelet that he hoped to gift to the singer himself. On it, he claimed he included ‘his number’.
When asked by his sibling if that was his squad number or phone number, Travis replied: “You know which one.” He was unsuccessful in meeting her at this time and described being ‘butt hurt’ at missing out on the opportunity.

However, his comments resulted in a number of headlines which were spotted by Taylor’s mother. Speaking backstage, she says she remembered seeing these stories and so contacted her cousin who was her “my resident expert on the Kansas City Chiefs.”
Taylor’s mum added: ““She said, ‘Oh, my God. He’s the nicest guy. And you know what? He really loves his mom. I went, ‘Ding, ding, ding, ding. Now, how in the world am I gonna get her to meet him?’”
She continued: “Listen, it was so earnest. I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show. He brought you something from your world. To me, that really said a lot. So I thought that was really sweet, and I liked it.”
The pair began talking privately and went on their first date in New York City, at first keeping the time spent together away from the public eye. Their relationship became public in September 2023 when Swift was spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs game, sitting with her new boyfriend’s mother and cheering him on from the stands.
Travis would eventually star in a future performance during Taylor’s Eras tour himself as the singer wrote a unique skit for the pair to perform. In an unforgettable moment for fans Travis dramatically carried a “fainting” Taylor across the stage. He then participated in fanning her and applying makeup to her face as part of the performance.
Explaining how it came about to the camera, Taylor said: “I can’t remember how it came up. I think we were just joking around about him doing it. Like him going up there with Kam. And it became very clear that he wasn’t joking. And I was like, ‘Wait, no, you would do that?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, it would be hilarious.’” The pair have since got engaged in August this year.
