When is tonight’s FA Cup fourth-round draw and who to watch out for?
The FA Cup’s third round produced a giant killing as National League North side Macclesfield dumped out holders Crystal Palace 2-1. Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City all progressed but there were Premier League victims elsewhere.
When is the draw?
The draw for the fourth round is tonight, Monday, January 12, at approximately 6.45pm GMT. The ceremony takes place before the third-round match between Liverpool and League One side Barnsley. The draw will be made by a Steven Gerrard and Joe Cole – who each won two FA Cups – with one choosing the home side and the other the away team.
You can watch the draw live on TNT Sports, before their coverage of Liverpool vs Barnsley.
Five lesser-fancied sides to look out for
Macclesfield
Crystal Palace fell victim to giant-killing Macclesfield who became the first non-League team to knock out the FA Cup holders since 1908-09. The victory was deserved, a well-organised team bettered their opponents throughout the game, only conceding a brilliant free kick by Yeremy Pino in the 90th minute.
Bristol City
In the match between Championship sides Bristol City and Watford, the hosts emphatically beat the visitors 5-1. Emil Riis Jakobsen scored a hat-trick that helped the home side cruise into the hat for the fourth round.
