The team at Specsavers Wishaw, which is located on the town’s Main Street, invited customers to donate new, unwrapped gifts suitable for children aged 10 weeks to 15 years via a gift bank in store throughout December.
The store hopes that the donated gifts will help support the hospital’s campaign to ensure every young person in the ward has a present to open on Christmas Day.
Laura Baird, store director at Specsavers Wishaw, said: “The response to our Christmas campaign collecting gifts for children who will spend Christmas in Wishaw General Hospital has been incredibly heart-warming.
“We’d like to thank all of our customers who kindly donated gifts and helped us spread some Christmas cheer to those who need it the most this year.”
