Woman, 39, arrested on suspicion of thefts around town
Police said they received a number of reports of thefts – including at a supermarket in Astley Bridge and from cars around Bromley Cross and Hall i’ th’ Wood.
Earlier this afternoon (December 3) officers arrested a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of these thefts.
They said she remains in custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “A woman has been arrested following thefts around Bolton.
“Officers investigating a number of thefts from a supermarket in Astley Bridge and thefts from cars around Bromley Cross and Hall i’ th’ Wood have made an arrest.
“This afternoon, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team arrested a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of these thefts.
“She remains in police custody for questioning.”
