Woman charged in connection to sheep deaths close to Cambs border

The charges are related to an incident involving ‘out of control’ dogs last year

A woman has been charged with her dogs being dangerously out of control and other offences after a number of sheep were killed in Assington Green between Newmarket and Sudbury over the Cambridgeshire border into Suffolk.

Linda Lawrence, 65, of Assington Green, was arrested on July 19 last year after a number of incidents on farmland in the area involving dogs, which led to sheep being killed and injured.

Lawrence has subsequently been charged with criminal damage, being the owner of a dog worrying livestock, and being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, causing injury.

She was bailed to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on February 27.
