A woman died at the scene after firefighters were called to a bungalow in Sheffield at around 10.45pm on Saturday, December 27.
A woman has tragically lost her life following a bungalow fire in Sheffield, as reported by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Fire crews were summoned to a residence on Hardy Place in Upperthorpe, Sheffield, at approximately 10.45pm on Saturday, December 27.
A woman was discovered at the property but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The firefighters departed shortly after midnight that evening, with an investigation into the fire’s cause currently ongoing, reports Yorkshire Live.
South Yorkshire Police are providing support to the fire service, who are spearheading the investigation.
A representative for SYFRS stated: “Firefighters from Central and Rivelin fire stations responded to a fire at a bungalow on Hardy Place, Sheffield at around 10.45pm on Saturday night.
“A woman was brought out of the property, but she sadly died at the scene. Firefighters left the incident shortly after midnight.
“An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.”
