Woman pregnant with gay husband's baby says 'he only makes love to me'

Samantha Wynn Greenstone and and Jacob Martin Hoff met nine years ago.

A straight woman is pregnant with her gay husband as she insists he only “makes love” to her – despite being attracted to men.

Samantha Wynn Greenstone, 38, and Jacob Martin Hoff, 32, didn’t go down the IVF route as some might expect and claim to have a happy sexual relationship – despite their differing preferences, reports the Mirror.

The couple wed in 2024 after first meeting nine years ago while auditioning for a theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof.

When asked how they conceived their first child, Jacob told Mail Online : “We did it the old fashioned, ‘birds and the bees’ way.” Samantha added: “I would say we made love and it was lovely. We make love because we are in love.”

Jacob recalled instantly being drawn to Samantha after hearing her “insane cackle” from across the other side of the room and was drawn to the fact she clearly didn’t care what others thought about her.

The pair secured roles in the theatre play, and became joined at the hip as they worked side by side for months. But despite insisting they were “platonic best friends” at the time, their romantic relationship grew.

Feeling confused by it all, Samantha went to see an “energy healer,” who informed her that she and Jacob share a “spiritual umbilical cord”. She messaged Jacob to see if he felt the same, to which he simply responded “yes”.

The following week, the couple stayed over at a pal’s house and shared a bed together for the first time. Having a sexual relationship with a woman was something that initially worried Jacob, but he told how his “fears melted away”.

The couple then moved in together in LA in 2018, insisting their relationship is completely monogamous. “I feel fully satisfied in our relationship and being able to verbalise and share my feelings with the world gives me the peace and comfort to feel completely myself in this relationship,” Jacob explained. “She is my soulmate.”

In December 2023, Jacob got down on one knee and proposed to his wife. The couple tied the knot at a traditional Jewish ceremony in November 2024 and say their family, including Jacob’s “very conservative Christian” father, are delighted with their relationship.

The LA-based couple previously explained to Business Insider that they were now in a “mixed-orientation” relationship, where they have different sexual orientations. Some refer to their relationship as a “Lavender Marriage”, a term used to describe one or two people from the LGBTQ+ community who marry for the safety or convenience of appearing to be heterosexual.

However the pair insist this does not apply to them. Jacob told the publication: “I’m 100 percent fulfilled by our marriage.” Back in April, Samantha revealed Jacob was “trying to knock me up” as the pair tried for a baby. Now, the couple are indeed welcoming their first child. The couple announced the news on Instagram, with Samantha writing “he’s going to be such a great dad”.
