Woman was hit by a car on Grange Road in Darlington
Grange Road was closed near the Esso garage on Saturday (December 20) morning after the woman was hit.
Emergency services were called just after 7.15am and took the woman to hospital.
Durham Police say her injuries are not life-threatening.
The road has since re-opened.
A force spokesperson said: “Police were called just after 7.15am today (December 20) after a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car on Grange Road, in Darlington.
“Paramedics were also called to the incident, which happened near the petrol station.
“The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. She has been taken to hospital for further treatment.”
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic incident this morning (December 20) at 7.16am on Grange Road in Darlington.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew and one patient was taken to James Cook University Hospital.”
