The Libertines will open the festival with a special Thursday night set.

Formed in London in 1997 by Pete Doherty and Carl Barât, the band returned with their fourth album, All Quiet On the Eastern Esplanade, in 2024.

Northern Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club will bring their indie-electro sound to the stage.

Fronted by Mike Skinner, The Streets are known for tracks like Fit But You Know It and Dry Your Eyes.

Also on the bill are Leeds-formed Kaiser Chiefs, best known for hits including I Predict A Riot and the number one single Ruby.

Launched in 2005 as an overspilling house party, the Y Not Festival has stayed true to its homegrown roots.

They added: “All you need to bring is yourself, some wellies and a killer fancy dress outfit.”
