York and North Yorkshire defendants sentenced recently
Mark Miller, 41, of Heather Road, Ripon, pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child and was given a five-month prison sentence at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court suspended for 18 months on condition he does 80 hours’ unpaid work and 15 days’ rehabilitative activities. He was put on the sex offenders’ register and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order, both for seven years.
Donna Eastman, 42, of Highfield Green, Sherburn-in-Elmet, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on Parliament Street, York. She was given a 12-month community order with 20 days’ rehabilitative activities at Leeds Magistrates’ Court.
Danya Hainsworth, 20, of Stanley Avenue, Haxby, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence. She was banned from driving for six months, fined £441 and ordered to pay £90 prosecution costs and a £176 statutory surcharge at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court.
