York weekend weather forecast: showers with highs of 13C

Met Office forecasters expect rain on Saturday morning (December 6) moving to clouds by lunchtime.

More rain is expected throughout the afternoon until about 9pm.

Temperatures are set to sit at around 10C on Saturday, then rise to 13C by Sunday afternoon.

Sunday is set to see rain from 11am and throughout the afternoon, the Met Office said.

They said Monday will see clouds and sunny spells with a temperatures sitting around 11C.

Elsewhere, the Met Office said heavy rain is expected in Cumbria, south west Scotland and Northern Ireland from Friday into Saturday.

“Given how wet it has already been, the additional rainfall, especially in western areas, could lead to localised flooding and travel disruption,” said the Met Office’s chief meteorologist, Matthew Lehnert.
