Young’s fish at UK supermarkets recalled – ‘do not eat’
A “do not eat” warning has also been issued for Young’s Gastro 2 Lemon & Pepper Fish Fillets following an allergy alert.
The product has been recalled by Young’s Seafood because it contains mustard which is not mentioned on the label.
This means the fish fillets are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has said.
The batches of Young’s Gastro 2 Lemon & Pepper Fish Fillets included in this new product recall are:
- Pack size – 270g
- Batch code – F2 L5283
- Best before – End of October 2026
Young’s Seafood said in a statement to customers: “Young’s Seafood is recalling packs of its Young’s Gastro 2 Lemon & Pepper Fish Fillets as the product has been manufactured using an ingredient containing mustard, which is not declared on the label.
“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy, intolerance or sensitivity to mustard.
“Customers are advised not to consume the product if they have an allergy to mustard and to return the product to the point of purchase for a full refund.
