James Heale has suggested Nick Candy’s defection to Reform UK could mark a significant shift in British politics ahead of the 2029 election.
Speaking to GB News, Heale highlighted how voters are breaking away from traditional Labour and Conservative allegiances.
The property tycoon’s move to become Reform UK’s treasurer comes as part of a recent wave of Conservative defections, including former MPs Andrea Jenkyns and Lee Anderson.
Heale noted that if Reform UK establishes itself as “one of the two big parties,” it could fundamentally alter voter perspectives.
“I think 2029 is going to be a really big contest,” Heale told GB News, suggesting the possibility of “one of the two big parties replaced by a new Incomer.”
