Princess Kate has been shortlisted for Time magazine’s prestigious Person of the Year recognition, acknowledging her significant impact on discussions surrounding privacy and health for public figures.

The Princess of Wales joins an influential group of nominees including Donald Trump, Yulia Navalnaya, Elon Musk, Kamala Harris and Joe Rogan.

The historic accolade, awarded since 1927, recognises the individual, group or concept that has made the most substantial impact on the world during the year, whether positive or negative.

The princess’s health journey began in January 2024 when she underwent major abdominal surgery in a London hospital.

Following the surgery, doctors discovered evidence of cancer, leading to a recommendation for preventive chemotherapy.

In March, the princess made the brave decision to go public with her diagnosis.

After what she described as an “incredibly tough” nine months for her family, Kate announced in September that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.

She noted that patience would be required as she continues her gradual return to full-time royal duties.

In an interview with the New York Post, Trump shared details about updates William gave him on the Royal Family’s health challenges.

“I asked him about his wife and he said she’s doing well.”

The former president also enquired about King Charles III, who was diagnosed with cancer in February.

“His father is fighting very hard,” Trump revealed, adding that William “loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad.”
